Circle Canvas Art

We love canvas art! It makes the kids feel like they are professional artists : ) The trick is to find different varieties of art each time.

Circle Canvas Art is just another form of colorful abstract art.

What you need:
– Canvas (any size will do), we get them in bulk at Michael’s
– Acrylic paint
– Fine paintbrushes
– Circle-shaped objects of various sizes (we used bowls, cups, lids, and tupperware)

Use a pencil to trace circles from your objects onto your canvas. Overlapping or nesting is a great idea! The more circles you trace on your canvas, the more colors you will have. Keep in mind the amount of time it takes to paint each one (according to the age of your child).

Time to paint! Have your child paint the sections in different colors, bright colors work the best.

Let the paint dry completely. Go over the pencil-traced circles with a black sharpie to highlight the circles.

Enjoy your Canvas Circle Art!
