Buttermilk Ranch Dressing

Everyone loves ranch dressing, especially the kids! You can get your kids to eat almost everything as long as they can dip away in a bowl of ranch! But have you looked at the ingredients in your classic store-bought or restaurant ranch? There is a reason the dressing tastes so good. It is chocked full of MSG and other flavor enhancers that we all know are terrible for our bodies. Surprise – you can make your own ranch with none of these and it still tastes amazing!

Buttermilk Ranch Dressing

1 scallion, trimmed

1 garlic clove

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/3 cup buttermilk

Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper

Coarsely chop 1 scallion and add it to the bowl of a food processor with the garlic; pulse until garlic is minced. Add the mayonnaise, buttermilk, and salt and pepper, to taste, and pulse until well combined and smooth. Serve over greens or as a side to dip *anything* into!

Note: This dressing tastes better as it sits; make it ahead and keep it chilled in the refrigerator.
