The BFG is the fifth show in the 2015-16 Wells Fargo Center for the Arts Family Fun Series! This production is based on the talented Roald Dahl's book "The BFG."

In the much beloved tradition of Roald Dahl Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, we join two misfits on an unforgettable odyssey. For a young orphan “human bean”, the sight of a giant outside her window is terrifying, and she fears for her life when he whisks her away to an enchanted land. This Big Friendly Giant is not like other giants, however. The job of this larger-than-life vegetarian is to blow magical dreams into children’s bedrooms, and together they embark on a quest to save England from the “gizzard-gulping” giants who don't have the BFG's tender heart. The cheeky B.F.G. ultimately shows that heroes can come in all sizes.

Humongous on humor and large on laughs, the story of The BFG was Roald Dahl's personal favorite. On stage, his whizzcracklingly wacky tale comes to life with puppets and people creating a fantastical world of towering giants and magical adventures.

The show is Sunday, February 21, at 3:00pm. This show is recommended for ages 3-8 years. Running time is 60 minutes. Join them after for a post-show autograph session.

Because of their generous local sponsors and community support, the non-profit Wells Fargo Center for the Arts can offer tickets for the low price of $12-$17 ($5 lap pass for children under 2 years old). For more information or to purchase tickets for The BFG show, visit the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts website.

Lap Passes are $5 and are limited in availability. They can only be purchased in person at the Ticket Office on the day of the show, with the exception of Clover Stornetta Family Fun Series season ticket holders, who may order them in advance to family series shows. Lap passes are a final sale. Children with a Lap Pass are not allowed to occupy a regular seat, and must remain on the lap (or in the arms) of an accompanying adult. To make the performances enjoyable for everyone in attendance, we ask your help in removing disruptive children from the theater.

Don't forget: Arrive early for Free Fun with Art, custom-designed arts & crafts projects for the whole family, the Children’s Museum of Sonoma County’s “Museum-on-the-Go”, and pizza and drinks at our concessions stand, all starting one-hour before the show!
