We love Ragle Ranch Park! There is so much to do, and it's a great way to spend your day with the family.

Ragle Ranch Park is a 157-acre park in Sebastopol and overlooks West County. The park has walking trails, playgrounds, soccer fields, sand volleyball courts, tennis courts, a dog park, and picnic areas.

Ragle Ranch Park contains 3.56 miles of trail over gently rolling terrain that is comprised of the flood plain of Atascadero Creek. The Hilltop Trail offers views across western Sonoma County, while the Blackberry Trail offers a loop around the perimeter of the meadows. The park features an outstanding grove of oak trees. The hiking trails present excellent wildlife viewing opportunities.

We walked the Blackberry Trail, which is an easy 1.5 mile loop - perfect for little ones. You can make a longer loop by combining some of the other trails. The trail goes through different terrains, some grasslands and some tree-covered.

There are some fun bridges that go over Atascadero Creek, however, the creek was completely dry when we went. Also lots of blackberry picking for the kids!

At the top of the trail is Veteran's Memorial Grove. There are some benches and a beautiful view of West County. The Veteran's Memorial Grove is a grove of Redwood Trees you can walk through and find a spot for your picnic.

After your hike you can play at the 2 playgrounds in the park. There is a fully-equipped playground for school-aged children, complete with slides, bridges, web climbers, and a climbing rock. Adjacent to this is a smaller playground for younger kids, complete with small play structure, sand, and baby swings.

There is an expansive grassy area to run and play, and many soccer fields hosting children and adult games. There are sand volleyball courts and tennis courts too.

The park is also the site of a peace garden with a spectacular sculpture created by world-renowned artist, Masayuki Nagase. There is a gazebo area with picnic tables, and several other shaded areas with tables, for a nice party location.

Ragle Ranch Park is the host of the annual Gravenstein Apple Fair held in August. This popular event attracts people from all over the county and is a wonderful local family-friendly event!

This park is a Sonoma County Regional Park so admission is $7, unless you have an annual parks pass, which gets you free access to all regional parks for a year (plus a night of FREE camping and admission to the Tolay Fall Festival).
